Echeveria refers to succulents. It is unusual and beautiful: a rosette with thick fleshy leaves, which, depending on the species, can be of different colors. Very unpretentious in leaving.
Instructions
Step 1
The optimum temperature for growing Echeveria is 18-25 ° C. For the winter, it is advisable to lower the temperature to 10-12 ° C - move it to the balcony or to the coldest sill.
Step 2
Place the echeveria on the south window, because she needs bright lighting. In summer, shade out of direct sunlight.
Step 3
Water once a week during spring and summer. In winter, watering is reduced to 1-2 times a month. Water around the edge of the pot to keep water out of the outlet. Let the water stand for 12-24 hours.
Step 4
Feed once in April and July with a special succulent fertilizer.
Step 5
The air humidity should be low; Echeveria should not be sprayed.
Step 6
Transplant in the spring. Young plants are transplanted annually, adults every 3-5 years. Choose a pot that is wide and shallow. The soil must be fertile: mix garden soil with humus and coarse river sand in a ratio of 3: 2: 2. Add charcoal to the soil.
Step 7
Echeveria propagates in several ways: leafy cuttings, basal shoots and seeds.
Step 8
When propagating by leafy cuttings, separate the lower leaves and dry them for two hours. Prepare a planting container, fill it with soil. Press the leaves into the soil. Moisten the soil and cover the planting container with plastic wrap. Remove shelter every day to ventilate and water the plantings as needed. Shoots should appear within two to three weeks - they are planted in individual pots after the original leaf has completely dried out.
Step 9
When propagating by basal shoots, separate the basal shoot and dry for two hours. Fill the planting container with soil and stick the shoot into the soil. Drizzle and cover with plastic wrap. Remember to ventilate and water. Expect rooting for a few weeks. You can sit down in a month, but focus on the condition of the sprouts.
Step 10
For seed propagation, sow the seeds in late February-early March in a general planting container, superficially. Spray the soil and cover with plastic wrap. Ventilate and water daily as needed. Make a pick in 2-3 months after germination. Plant in permanent pots when the seedlings reach a height of 3-4 cm.
