You can imitate classic paper blinds, more precisely from paper tubes. This method does not require special costs and labor.
newsprint or other thick and thin enough paper, threads or thin laces, glue, hanging rings or double-sided tape.
First, make paper tubes (the length of the tube should be equal to the width of the finished curtain). To make them, you can wind the paper on a long knitting needle, securing the paper with glue. The number of tubes determines the length of the blinds.
After the tubes are ready, collect them by intertwining with threads in several rows (see photo below). If there are few rows of threads, then after each paper tube, the threads should be tied for better fixation of the tubes.
At the bottom of the curtains, we also tie threads and attach rings for hanging on them.
Please note that you will have to make several rows, otherwise the blinds will look sloppy. It is also worth painting the paper tubes with paint, especially if they are made from newspaper. If your blinds are made of plain thick paper or paper with a small pattern, then you can do without staining.
Such blinds can also be hung on double-sided tape or simply on hooks, nails (if you attached rings).
It is possible to make such blinds heavy, but in order to be able to roll them up like ordinary horizontal blinds, the easiest way is to tie the blinds with ribbons or cords across the top. Thus, by changing their length, the blinds are lowered or raised.
: Of course, to create such blinds, not only paper is suitable, but also thin wooden strips, plastic, metal.
