Step 1
You will be able to find information about a missing person much faster if you know not only his full name and year of birth, but also his title and place of registration.
Go to the Memorial website (https://www.obd-memorial.ru/), enter your last name, first name and patronymic, year of birth and other known information in the window that opens, click the search button. You will see a list of people with the same data, try to find the right person among them using the "place of birth" column.
If you know much more information about the missing person than just the name, place and year of birth, then use the "advanced search".
Enter, for example, the date and place of conscription, camp number, place of capture, hospital, etc., click "search". In this case, most likely, you will receive information about the sought after, or you will be notified that there are no people with this information in the databases.
Step 2
Go to the site "People's feat" (https://podvignaroda.mil.ru/), at the very top opposite the picture in the form of a reward, select one of the options: "people and awards", "documents", "geography of war". Depending on the one selected in the search bar, enter either the full name and year of birth, or the document number and its date, click "search". If there is information in the database, it will open in a new window.
Step 3
Go to the site "Memorial of the Great Patriotic War" (https://www.kremnik.ru/), in the upper right corner in the search bar, enter the name of the person whose information you want to find, click "find". If there is no information, then try to slightly change the search conditions by checking the box next to "one of the words" or "exact phrase".
