Having heard an interesting composition, it is sometimes difficult to believe that it was performed without musical instruments. Singers use techniques such as beatboxing, i.e. imitation of sounds with a voice. Everyone can learn this with a great desire and diligence.
It is necessary
- - Video lessons;
- - beatboxer;
- - special literature;
- - music.
Instructions
Step 1
As with any business, beatboxing starts with theory. You should know what basic beatbox sounds are. There are only three of them. The whole melody is based on combinations (beats) of these sounds, played in different techniques. The first sound is kick drum (in another way it is called kick, kick), imitating a big drum. It is designated by the Latin letter B. The second sound is hi-hat or hat, similar to the sound of a cymbal in a drum kit. It is recorded as T. The third sound - classic snare or simply snare, repeats the sound of a small drum and corresponds to the combination pff (there is a variant of psh).
Step 2
To kick, you just need to say "B" with your lips. Exhale sharply and forcefully. Learn to breathe correctly so that you can make beats as you exhale and not pause in between.
Step 3
Hats are divided into closed (say "ts" or "t" with your lips), open (add "sss" to "ts" / "t") and fast (without using your voice, say a combination of open hat and sound "k").
Step 4
Snares are more complex sounds. There are also several types of them. To take a rim shot, open your mouth wide and play the "ka" sound. The next sound "pff" is created without voice. Do not puff out your cheeks too much and make a "poof" with your lips. And finally, the sound "Kch". Put your tongue in the same position as for pronouncing "l". Build up pressure in your mouth as you inhale, but without trapping air. Exhale sharply.
Step 5
When you can clearly perform the basic sounds, start pronouncing different beats. At first, slowly, gradually build up the pace, but at the same time clearly keep the rhythm. If you find it difficult to do this on your own, set yourself a metronome. But if you make a mistake, don't stop, keep going the beat.
Step 6
Combine sounds into beats of eight sounds. You can find a lot of literature and video tutorials that suggest basic bit combinations, but improvisation in beatboxing is encouraged.
Step 7
Listen to beatboxers as much as possible and train yourself. Repeat the combinations suggested to you or try to transfer any melody you like to beatbox.
Step 8
When you can create beats at a good tempo and rhythm, try adding other sounds to them for variety - imitation of violin, echo, falling drops, and so on.
