We all made paper airplanes as children. A few dexterous movements with the paper and the airship is ready. Having launched the airplane into the sky, we followed its maneuvers in the air. Nowadays, few people can be surprised by a paper plane; it was replaced by a foam plane, which is very popular. What it is and how to make it yourself, we will tell you in this article.
It is necessary
- - ceiling tiles
- - glue
- - scotch tape
- - ruler
Instructions
Step 1
Download a drawing of an airplane model on the Internet. Print the drawing, it will be more convenient to glue the sheets together with adhesive tape. Then cut out the template for your aircraft from the drawing.
Step 2
Trace the template on the ceiling tile and cut out the details of the plane. If the tile crumbles, leave 0.5 cm from the edge, making a margin.
Step 3
Glue the body parts of your future aircraft together. For gluing, we recommend using Uranus glue, it does not weigh down the ceiling tiles, and the seam is quite elastic and even. If there was no Uranus glue in the nearest store, you can use Phoenix, by its characteristics it is analogous to Uranus, its only drawback is the yellow color of the seam on a white plane. But this is already a matter of aesthetics. After gluing the body, let's move on to the wings.
Step 4
Make the wings out of two layers of ceiling tiles, this way they will be more durable and will better keep the plane in the air. Between themselves, they should be glued with the same glue "Uranus" or with double-sided foam tape. Such tape will well fasten the wing parts together, but at the same time it will not add additional weight to it.
Step 5
Craft can be made from a piece of a ruler, a small strip or bamboo, and any other stick. This will give the wing strength. For the spar, small indentations are made along the wing of the aircraft.
Step 6
Glue the spar to the bottom of the wing. It is better to use a ceiling tile adhesive such as Titan. Craft the second wing of the plane in the same way. When both wings are ready: the glue is dry, the spar is firmly glued into the wing, proceed to attach the wings to the fuselage.
Step 7
Attach the wings to the airplane body with Uranus glue. Give the glue time to grip the parts well together. And as Yuri Gagarin said: “Let's go!”. Fair wind to your plane!
