There is a well-founded opinion that magic can only be learned from a magic teacher. After all, studying magic, the uninitiated in its secrets may never comprehend it, wandering in the wilds of delusions. Magic has always been considered a hardened science, accessible only to a select few, and this is no accident.
Instructions
Step 1
However, having the ability, great desire and perseverance, you can learn magic yourself. Moreover, it is almost impossible to find a mentor in magic on your own, since most of them are charlatans who simply chose this exotic type of earnings to lure out your money. Moreover, as you know, a real "teacher appears when the student is ready."
Step 2
So you've decided to learn magic on your own. The first thing to keep in mind is that you can learn magic through practice and personal experience, not just from books. And this practice requires self-discipline, since the practice of magic must be regular. Therefore, it will be useful to draw up a lesson plan for yourself and stick to it.
Step 3
Another useful thing for a magician is keeping a magical journal, which should become a habit. In the pagan Wiccan tradition, such a diary is called "The Book of Shadows." What can you write in a magic diary? Analysis of magical operations, the phases of the moon and planetary influences of the day, your thoughts and feelings related to magic and other comments that you deem necessary.
Step 4
A prerequisite for teaching magic is the development of the qualities of a magician. This is a strong will, developed imagination, self-confidence, unshakable calmness, self-control and other qualities. These qualities are extremely important in magic. To possess these qualities, the best way is not to struggle with something (with laziness, lack of will, impulsiveness, etc.), but to imagine that you already have these qualities. Always act as if you already have these qualities. In psychology, this method is called self-hypnosis. And one more thing: you must remember about responsibility, because if your magic is directed to someone in evil, it will return to you like a boomerang. For example, this applies to a love spell that violates free will and refers to black magic.
Step 5
Develop your sensitivity: smell, touch, hearing, sight, taste. For example, suppose you pour yourself some jasmine tea. Take your time to drink it right there. Breathe in the jasmine scent, savor the scent, and then take a sip of the tea. Feel the taste of tea, its shades. Another example. You are walking in the park. Breathe in the scent of foliage, watch the sunset, listen to the silence or sounds. Etc. That is, you are aware of every moment, and at the same time all your five senses are revealed. Thus, you learn to look at the world with different eyes - not an ordinary look. You learn to see what is not visible at first glance.
Step 6
The next step is to develop intuition, the sixth sense. At the beginning of the day, try to predict what events it will bring. At the same time, try to feel the energy of the day (it is useful to pay attention to the phases of the moon and days of the week). When talking to a person, try to predict what they will say or what they are thinking. In this case, you can concentrate on the "third eye" chakra - ajna. In general, there are many ways to develop intuition. The main thing is to learn to trust your feelings and inner understanding.
Step 7
Nutrition also plays an important role in teaching magic. It is best if it is vegetarian. Try this experiment: one day eat meat, the other vegetable (salads, nuts, fruits) and compare your feelings. If vegetarian food is not for you, follow a magical diet on the day of the ritual or ceremony.
Step 8
As far as magical exercises are concerned, you must decide for yourself where to direct your efforts. At the beginning of learning magic, it is useful to do exercises for visualization, concentration, relaxation. You can also practice with tarot, runes or hexagrams of the I Ching, skrying (for example, working with a magic mirror or crystal ball), lucid dreaming, going into a trance or meditation. However, it must be remembered that there must be a gradual approach when exercising and caution must be exercised.
Step 9
And, of course, if you want to learn magic, you need to read occult literature. In order to implement something in practice, you need to study the issue thoroughly. Another important point. Although today you can find a huge number of books on magic, not all of them carry truthful information. Therefore, you need to be able to "separate the wheat from the chaff" and be able to analyze, so as not to get lost in the wilds of pseudo-magic or harm yourself. In general, information can and should be filtered.
Step 10
To learn magic, you need to be willing to devote a significant portion of your time to magic. If you read somewhere that learning magic can be simple and quick, you should know that you are simply being tricked. For example, it is believed that one can learn magic easily and quickly by devoting one hour to magic lessons a day or a week. It sounds tempting, of course, but it's funny. For example, let's say you want to learn how to play the piano. Learning a few notes and learning to play a simple melody doesn't mean you've learned how to play the piano. But if you play scales for several hours a day, learn musical pieces, devote most of your time to music, you can become a real virtuoso. So, magic is also art. If you seriously want to learn magic, it will become your thinking and way of life. You will have to make a lot of effort to go through the thorns to the stars, there are no other ways to learn magic.
