Instructions
Step 1
Modern postage stamps in Russia are of two types. The first are gummed stamps, on which an adhesive layer is applied. To stick them on, the back of the stamp needs to be moistened. Gummed stamps can be moistened with the tongue - this is the traditional way, it is the most common among many people. But if you need to stick many stamps, this method, of course, is not suitable. Then, as a rule, they use a mug or cup of water, moisten a finger in it, and moisten the back of the stamp with it so that it sticks.
Step 2
The second type is self-adhesive stamps, these are those that do not require moisture. Typically, self-adhesive stamps are produced on a thin paper backing, smooth on one side. To apply this type of stamp, you need to remove the backing and stick the stamp onto the envelope.
Step 3
There is a special place on the envelope for stamps in the upper right corner. Often there is even a frame drawn there to indicate the place for the stamp. If there are several stamps, stick them next to the one that lies on the frame indicated on the envelope. It is best not to glue more than three stamps in a row, but instead move the next stamps to the next row to create an area that looks more like a square rather than a long strip. So it will be easier for the postal service employees to put a seal on the envelope - a certificate that the stamps are "canceled", that is, the payment for the shipment has been counted by the postal service.
Step 4
The cost of postage differs depending on its type. Stamps are used to pay for letters or postcards. If you are sending a simple letter within Russia, and its weight does not exceed 20g, then the cost of stamps per envelope should be 13.92 rubles. If the weight of the letter exceeds 20g, then for each subsequent 20g of overweight, you need to pay 1, 48r. A registered letter with a minimum weight needs a stamp in the amount of 30, 68 rubles. The overweight for a registered letter is paid in the same way as for a regular one. A letter with a declared value needs stamps in the amount of 69, 62 rubles, for every 20 g of excess weight, you need to pay 2, 01 rubles. All amounts are indicated including VAT.
