Philip Michael Bosco is an American theater, film, television and voice actor. He began his creative career with performances on the Broadway stage. He first appeared on the CBS television historical educational series "You Are There".
The actor has received numerous Tony Award and Drama Desk Award nominations for his roles in Broadway theater productions, where he performed until 2009.

Philip Michael was born in the United States in the fall of 1930. He grew up in New Jersey with Margaret Raymond and Philip Lupo Bosco. His mother worked in the police, and his father was an amusement rides worker. His ancestors on his father's side were from Italy, and on his mother's side - from Germany.
The boy received his primary education at Saint Peter's Prep School, and then continued his studies at the Catholic University of America (CUA) at the Faculty of Humanities. It is a private Catholic university located in Washington DC, founded in 1887 by American Catholic bishops. There, the young man studied history, literature, drama and acting. During his student years, he played in many Shakespearean productions. One of his most successful roles was the image of Richard III.
After graduation, Philip joined the army. He served as a private in the communications corps for 3 years. Returning from service, he did not immediately return to creativity. For several months, Bosco worked as a truck driver at an amusement park with his father.

Personal life
Philip met his only love in the late 1950s. She was Nancy Ann Dunkle. They met while studying at the university and got married on January 2, 1957. In this union, seven children were born: Jenny, Philip, Diana, John, Chris, Lisa and Celia. The couple have lived together for over 60 years.
Bosco suffered from dementia in the last years of his life. He passed away in 2018 at the age of 88 at his own home in Hourt. The actor was buried in Englewood at Brookside Cemetery.
