Since January 1, 2019, there has been a transition from analog to digital television. For many residents of the country, this transition has become far from free.
The process of switching to digital television has been going on for more than one year, however, it was decided to completely stop analogue broadcasting from January 2019. It is from this time that new, digital channels should appear on all televisions in the country. The difference is very simple: the analog channel was on the same frequency, and on the digital one it would be possible to add a whole package of channels to this one frequency, which was called a multiplex.
Most residents have modern digital TVs. However, there are those in the country who needed to receive digital channels. In some regions of the country, money for such a set-top box could even be received from the state, proving that the status of a poor family was acquired and there is no free finance. It was enough to contact the Department of Labor (or UIA MFC), issue targeted assistance, where in the application to indicate: "For the purchase of a digital set-top box."
The price of such a prefix is from 800 rubles, but the prefix for 1200 rubles was the optimal one.
To date, 20 channels are provided for free broadcasting on digital television in the country. These are the so-called channels of the first and second multiplex. At the same time, everyone has channels of the 1st multiplex, but the second will be available to everyone only by the end of next year. The country's authorities also plan to connect a third free multiplex, however, the composition of the channels there will differ and depend on the region in which it is broadcast.
