Beads, earrings, finger toys, original decorative elements - this is just a small list of handmade products based on knitted balls. They can be made from a small amount of unnecessary yarn. Even a novice needlewoman can quickly master the knitting pattern. To get a spherical shape, you need to crochet circular rows; at the beginning of work, you will need to master the increase in loops, and at the end - a gradual decrease in the canvas.
It is necessary
- - yarn;
- - contrasting thread;
- - hook;
- - frame or soft filler (if necessary).
Instructions
Step 1
The beginning of knitting the ball will be 3 air loops - 1 leading (it is located on the hook rod) and a couple of chain links. Close the loops into a ring with a connecting post.
Step 2
Mark the beginning of the first circular row with a contrasting thread - this mark will later tell you when to start adding the bars.
Step 3
Starting from the first loop (marked with colored thread), knit the first row. In total, you should have 6 new single crochets in this circle.
Step 4
Make a second circular row. Now, in each downstream column, you need to knit 2 loops at once. Thus, the top of the future ball will increase to twelve components.
Step 5
In the third row, do the following alternations: knit 2 single crochets in the lower loop; in the next column of the previous row, make only 1 new loop. Continue to the end of the circle until there are 18 single crochets on the hook.
Step 6
Form the canvas in the shape of a hemisphere, gradually increasing the number of increments in each circular row. Fourth circle: increase; a couple of single crochets and so on until the end of the row (24 loops on the hook). Fifth circle: another increase - 3 single crochet (at the end of the row 30 loops on the hook). Sixth round: new addition - 4 single crochet (36 stitches in total).
Step 7
By the seventh row, you will have an even hemisphere - the upper part of the future product. At this stage, you can insert a solid frame (a plastic ball, bead, etc.) inside the work and then tie it around. If you are going to fill a knitted ball with soft filler, continue working without a backing.
Step 8
Knit the next 6 rows with a simple circular cloth, making one single crochet in each downstream thread. On the thirteenth row, you need to perform the second hemisphere - the lower part of the ball.
Step 9
Now you should shrink the canvas using successive decreases. To take a single crochet out of work, simply skip the loop of the lower row and continue knitting the ball further.
Step 10
With each row, reduce the number of columns in a circle until you have only 12 of 36 loops of the canvas. The sequence of decreases: thirteenth circle - the column is skipped; 4 single crochet (canvas decreased by 6 loops). Fourteenth circle: loop skip; 3 single crochet (24 sts on the hook). Fifteenth circle: skip; a pair of columns (18 loops). Sixteenth: skip, single crochet (12).
Step 11
You have already formed a neat ball with a hole at the bottom. If necessary, through it, you can fill the product with a soft filler - padding polyester, cotton wool, yarn residues.
Step 12
In the seventeenth row of work, make 6 consecutive decreases and pull off the last loops with a working thread. Hide the remaining segment inside the product.
