It takes a lot of time and patience to make an LED lamp. You can make it at home using a standard halogen bulb. As a result, you should have a 12-volt powered device.

What do you need to make an LED lamp?

If you decide to do your own creation of an LED lamp, take a halogen lamp with removed glass and LEDs. It is desirable that the number of the latter does not exceed 22 pieces, otherwise it will be difficult to work with them.

You will also need assembly glue and super glue, a soldering iron and solder, copper wire, a small piece of aluminum sheet, resistors, and a hole punch.

The main stages of creating a lamp

First, take out everything you don't need from the halogen lamp. To do this, start removing the white putty with a screwdriver. This must be done very carefully so as not to damage the light bulb. Then take a hammer and place it, feet up, on a flat surface. Try to knock the bulb itself out of the reflector with one precise blow.

If the previous stage was completed successfully, proceed to the next. Make an aluminum disc for the LEDs. To do this, find a suitable template on the Internet, print it and cut it along the contour. Glue a paper template to a sheet of aluminum and cut a circle out of it. Then punch holes in the aluminum circle with a hole punch.

In order to generate a LED connection diagram, you must fill in the required fields in a special online diagram calculator. There you prescribe the voltage of the power supply and the LED, the current strength of the LEDs and their number. The service should give you a diagram after entering all the parameters.

You can start assembling the LEDs. Place the disc on a tube stand with the correct diameter. Then insert all the LEDs into the holes on the aluminum circle with the legs up. Don't forget to drip a small amount of super glue between them. Just don't overdo it. After that, you need to take construction glue and pour all the LEDs on top. Be sure to wait until it is completely dry (it may take several days).

It is better to solder the legs according to the scheme - 4 LEDs in series from plus to minus. Then solder the plus legs together, and attach the resistors to the minus ones. Then you need to solder the resistors so that they are located on the LEDs in a horizontal position. As a result, the resulting structure should have two groups of legs. Solder a piece of copper wire to them. You can also fill in the space between the legs and the wires with a glue gun.

So it remains only to assemble the lamp. To do this, insert the LED disc into the reflector of the halogen lamp and glue it with super glue. Be sure to wait until the glue dries and write in black marker on the base where the plus and minus lamps are located. Carefully cut off any excess wires and use the resulting lamp.
