Max Payne is one of the best 3D third person shooters in the history of PC gaming. A breathtaking storyline, a charismatic protagonist, hurricane firefights - what else do you need to be happy? If you have not yet joined the classics, then now is the time to do it.
Instructions
Step 1
Install the game from disc and run it. A settings window will appear where you can select graphics and control settings. Click "Save and Continue" and the game will start.
Step 2
Select "New Game" from the main menu. On the first playthrough, only the Runaway difficulty level is available. Once you complete the entire game, you can choose other options.
Step 3
Wait for the interactive comic to complete. There will be similar inserts at the beginning and at the end of each level, telling the storyline. The game takes place from a third person. This means that the camera is always behind the character's back. Try moving your mouse to look around. When you press the movement keys on the keyboard, the character will move in the corresponding direction.
Step 4
Proceed further down the level. The need to shoot will soon arise. To do this, aim and press the left mouse button several times. Pay attention to the lower right corner of the screen. It displays the number of cartridges and the current weapon.
Step 5
Look at the bottom left corner of the screen. The health indicator is located here. To replenish it, look for painkillers on the levels - small orange jars, the current amount of which is displayed next to the health bar. Press Backspace to heal the character.
Step 6
Try turning on slo-mo mode. In it, the time in the game slows down, which allows you to dodge the attack of opponents and shoot more accurately. Hold down the right mouse button and one of the movement keys to make the character make a slow jump in the corresponding direction. Press the right mouse button once to run slo-mo mode for some time. In this case, you will see how the corresponding indicator on the left decreases. You can replenish it simply by idle for a few seconds or by killing opponents.
