However, after two not very successful and fruitful years of work with Columbia Pictures, he was terminated.
Popularity and fame
The actress began working at the RKO studio in 1936. However, inconspicuous paintings did not bring her either success or recognition. The aspiring artist switched to MGM.
Fame came in 1939. Anne played the role of Macy, the main character, in the comedy of the same name. The painting gained immense popularity, and in the following year, several more paintings about Macy came out with Ann Sautern.
Radio broadcasts soon appeared about this character. Sauternes was also involved in scoring. Macy's Adventures aired on CBS for two years. Later they went on a different wave until 1953.
During World War II, Anne spent a lot of time touring military hospitals and bases. Its popularity among the soldiers reached such a high level that the plane was named after the performer by one of the aviation units: "Sauternes Comfort".
In the late forties, the popular actress took part in the film drama A Letter to Three Wives. The picture was awarded an Oscar in 1949. The success of the film project on the further career of Sautern was not reflected in any way.

Family life
The outstanding artist has been married twice. Her first choice was Roger Pryor, an actor. The ceremony took place in 1936. Family life continued until 1943. Then the couple officially broke up.
