Knitted socks are a symbol of home comfort and warmth, and if you learn how to knit warm socks for your family on your own, you will give your loved ones comfort and good mood. There are many ways to knit socks, and one way to knit the heel of a sock is the boomerang heel, which is shorter than the traditional heel. It is not difficult to knit, and such knitting turns out to be smooth and neat.
Instructions
Step 1
Tie the upper part of the sock and, not reaching 2 cm before the end of the upper part of the pattern, knit the front surface on the first and fourth knitting needles, and continue knitting the pattern of the upper part of the sock on the second and third knitting needles.
Step 2
Divide the stitches of the heel into three parts, and then, starting from the outermost stitches on the first and fourth needles, knit shortened rows from the outside to the inside. Knit first row, knit, also knit last knit on first knitting needle, then turn work.
Step 3
Purl the second row. Work a double stitch by placing yarn in front of work and inserting a knitting needle from right to left into the first stitch. Remove the loop along with the thread and tighten the thread so that the loop fits over the knitting needle. Thus, you have knitted a double loop. Replace the thread before work, and then continue to knit as usual with purl stitches.
Step 4
After knitting the purl of the last loop of the fourth knitting needle, turn the work, and in the third row also start with one double loop, after which knit all the loops with the knit, and at the end of the row leave the double loop untied. Turn the work again and knit the fourth row. Start with a double stitch and then purl a row.
Step 5
Finish it again with a double loop and turn the work. Repeat the same for the third and fourth rows. After that, knit two circular rows on all loops. Knit the front loops on the heel loops, and on the loops of the second and third knitting needles, knit a pattern.
Step 6
On the first circular row, grab both pieces of double stitches and knit as one stitch. Having knitted two circular rows, start, as at the very beginning, knit shortened rows, from the inside to the outside.
Step 7
Knit the first row, knit the second row, purl the second row by doing a double stitch, then turn the work and knit the third and fourth rows. Repeat until you have completed all double stitches, as well as the outer heel stitches. Knit last purl row and knit double stitches again.
