Lemons are very picturesque objects that at all times have adorned the still lifes of the most famous masters. Lemon has a fairly simple shape and a grainy surface. To make the composition with lemon more interesting, take one whole fruit and place another, cut in half, next to it. A slice of lemon is very interesting from the point of view of drawing, since it contains both an unusual ornamental structure and a combination of different textures: transparent shiny pulp, matte partitions between the slices and the inner layer of the peel.
It is necessary
- - drawing paper;
- - pencil, eraser;
- - lemons.
Instructions
Step 1
Create a pencil sketch of your sketch. Both the lemon and the half of it make up the center of the composition, so place them so that they are in the middle of the leaf and are slightly offset to the top half.
Step 2
First, draw the base of a whole lemon - an oval, more or less flattened, depending on the nature you choose. A little below this shape and with some horizontal offset, draw a circle - this will be a half of a lemon, lying in front of a whole lemon and with a slice towards the viewer. Exactly observe the proportions of the depicted objects.
Step 3
Draw the shape of the lemons in more detail: on the whole lemon, on opposite sides, draw the elongated tips of the fruit. At first, they can be depicted in the form of triangles, commensurate with the lemon itself, and then round the ends of the lemon with smooth lines and connect them to the general outline. Make the contour itself a little uneven, "alive" - copy the natural outline of the fruit, which cannot be perfectly even.
Step 4
Draw a slice of half a lemon in detail. Departing slightly from the outer contour inward, draw a second circle by hand. The space between these two circles is the thickness of the fruit's rind, which tends to be quite thin in lemons. Mark the center of the lemon with a small circle.
Step 5
Divide the second cut circle from the outer edge into as many segments as there are on a real lemon, and note that not all of them are the same: some will be wide, while others will be very narrow and uneven. It is in these "irregularities" that the uniqueness and vitality of objects created by nature lies. Each slice in the cut is a triangle, the corners of which must be rounded.
Step 6
Lightly thicken the partitions between the lemon wedges. Erase the drawing with an eraser, carefully removing the auxiliary lines. Correct the contours of the objects a little more, trying to convey all the features of nature in the drawing as accurately as possible.
