You can give felt boots a second life and make them incredibly stylish and original not only with the help of fur trim and felt appliqués. Instead of a needle and thread, use a brush and paint to decorate these warm winter shoes.

Step 1
So that the paint lies evenly and the villi do not interfere with the drawing, prime boots. To do this, use a flat brush to apply the felt boots to the entire surface, if you decide to paint over them completely, or to a certain area chosen for painting, PVA glue.
Step 2
After the glue is dry, it will become transparent. Using a piece of tailor's chalk or a bar of soap, apply the pattern of your choice to the glue-soaked surface. Then use a thin brush to paint over the drawing with black acrylic paint. To make the drawing on both felt boots the same, work with a pair at once.
Step 3
Color the pictures, choosing shades, taking into account the fact that after drying, the colors will become slightly darker. With a thin brush, paint everything down to the smallest detail.
Step 4
After eight hours, when the paint is dry, cover each felt boot with a thin cloth and iron with a steam-free iron for five minutes. Now the paint has fixed and you can safely go out into the snow in painted felt boots.
Step 5
You can also use acrylic paints in spray cans to decorate felt boots. Cut out the elements that make up the selected pattern from paper, and use double-sided tape to attach them to felt boots, primed with PVA glue.
Step 6
Fill the entire surface of the felt boot with the gradient of the chosen color, or only that part of it where the elements of the picture are located. Let the paint dry.
Step 7
Peel off the paper outlines gently. Fill in the areas that remain untouched with the paint used to create the background with white. Then paint them with a thin brush with colored paints. Iron to set the colors.
Step 8
After walking, feel free to clean the boots with a cloth or sponge. Dry them by placing them near heaters, but do not place them directly on the radiator. Heavily soiled boots can be washed with warm soapy water and then stuffed tightly with paper.
Step 9
When the winter season comes to an end, thoroughly ventilate and dry the boots and put them in a bag and put them in a dry place. Be sure to put a tablet of a special anti-moth product in the bag with felt boots.
