To find out what day of the week you were born, you need to refer to the perpetual calendar. Determining the day of the week will require a little attention and the ability to add numbers within a hundred. A little work with the tables - and you can learn a little more about the day that is important to you.
It is necessary
- - a notebook on the pages of which there is a "Perpetual Calendar";
- - ruler;
Instructions
Step 1
There are so-called perpetual calendars. These are tables that show years, months and days of the week. To find out which day of the week a particular date falls on, you need to do some calculations. There are quite a few types of such calendars, but the principle of finding the right date is about the same. A perpetual calendar can be found in a good notebook or weekly journal.
Step 2
Take a perpetual calendar with two tables, one large and one small. Suppose you want to know what day of the week was May 30, 1990.
Step 3
Find the year you want on the left side of the large table. Attach a ruler to the line so as not to accidentally go astray.
Step 4
Months are indicated in the upper column of the right side of the table. Find the place where the row with the desired year and the column of the specific month meet. You will see a number in the intersection box. In the proposed case, 1990 - horizontally, and the month of May - vertically give the number 1.
Step 5
Add this figure to the date. For example, 1 + 30 = 31. Remember the resulting number.
Step 6
Now you need a small table with the days of the week. Find the resulting number in it. See what day of the week is written in the corresponding line. In this example, the number 31 is on the line that says Wednesday. It turns out that May 30, 1990 was Wednesday.
Step 7
If you do not have a notebook with a perpetual calendar at hand, then you can turn to the help of the Internet. Many sites have such a service - determining the day of the week of the requested date. Enter the day, month and year of your birth in the required window, and you will receive an answer in the form of the day of the week.
