It is necessary

  • For children's sweatshirt size 86 with a picture:
  • - 125 g of yarn of the main color (100% wool, 95 m / 25 g);
  • - 25 g of white yarn;
  • - the remains of multi-colored yarn for the picture;
  • - knitting needles number 2, 5;
  • - needle for yarn;
  • - 5 buttons.

Instructions

Step 1

Children's jacket is knitted with front stitch: 1st row - all front loops; 2nd row - all purl loops. Further, the rows alternate. If the product is made on circular knitting needles, all rows are knitted with front loops. For a tight knit pattern, cast on 28 stitches and complete 38 rows. You should get a square of 10x10 centimeters.

Step 2

For a knitted picture, first select a drawing and transfer it to a sheet of paper in a box, by which it is easy to calculate the number of loops. One cell corresponds to one loop and one row. If this seems dreary to you, you can pick up a pattern in one of the special knitting publications or on the Internet, where all the loops are calculated and painted. And you just have to buy yarn of the right colors. Pictures are knitted with front stitch. Each colored section is made from a separate ball, when the color changes, the threads cross on the wrong side to avoid the formation of holes.

Step 3

Cast on knitting needles 2, 5 for the back 90 loops with yarn of the main color and knit 4 centimeters with a 1x1 elastic band. Add 8 stitches in the last row. Next, knit with the front stitch. At a height of 33 centimeters, close all loops.

Step 4

For the right shelf, cast on 42 loops with yarn of the main color and tie 4 centimeters with a 1x1 elastic band. Add 4 stitches in the last row. Then knit with the front stitch.

Step 5

At a height of 8 centimeters, knit 5 rows of base yarn and 3 rows of white threads with a 1x1 elastic band for the hinged pocket from the 13th to the 37th. Close these stitches with white yarn. Cast on 25 loops for the burlap pocket with the main yarn and knit 6 centimeters with the front satin stitch. Work these stitches into work instead of the closed ones and continue to knit on all the stitches.

Step 6

At a height of 28 centimeters, close 5 loops from the right edge for the neckline 1 time, then in each 2nd row 1 time - 3, 1 time - 2 and 4 times 1 loop each. At a height of 33 centimeters, close the remaining shoulder loops.

Step 7

Knit the left shelf symmetrically to the right. After calculating the loops, follow the pattern chosen. On both sides of the pattern and at the end of the pattern, knit with yarn of the main color.

Step 8

For the sleeve, cast on 46 loops with white thread and knit 3 rows with a 1x1 elastic band, then switch to the yarn of the main color and tie the elastic to 4 centimeters. In the last row, add 12 stitches evenly. There should be 58 stitches in total.

Step 9

Next, knit with the front stitch. Add for bevels on both sides in each 2nd and 4th rows 14 times, 1 loop, then 3 more times in each 2nd row, 1 loop. At a height of 18 centimeters, close all remaining loops.

Step 10

Complete all seams. Sew sleeves and burlap pockets to the right side.

Step 11

Cast on 85 stitches of the main color around the edge of the neckline and knit 5 rows, then go to white thread, knit 2 more rows and close all loops.

Step 12

Cast on 95 loops at the edges of the shelves and knit with a 1x1 elastic band (6 rows with the main thread and 3 rows of white). Close the stitches of the placket with white yarn.

Step 13

At the same time, after 4 rows, knitted with yarn of the main color, make 5 slots for loops. Make the first and last holes at a distance of 4 centimeters (respectively, from the bottom and top edges). Distribute the rest evenly between them. For one slot, bind off 2 loops and cast on the next row.

Step 14

Sew on the buttons.
