The character of your favorite cartoon or book can be not only an object of adoration, but also a stylish motive for decorating almost any thing in the house of a young (and not quite) fan. Images of popular heroes are used to decorate clothes, household items, walls, fences and expensive cars. Are you eager to make your beloved character your constant companion in life, capturing his image on the things around you, in order to more often contemplate the features that are dear to your heart? To implement your idea, you will need to accurately transfer the contours of the character to the selected surface.

Instructions
Step 1
There are many opportunities to decorate things with the image of your favorite hero: embroidery, applique, interior painting, dishes, furniture, airbrushing on a car. There are also several ways to copy an image to any surface. But first, find a good, clear drawing of your favorite character. You can use the Internet and print a suitable picture in the size you need on a printer.
Step 2
The first way to translate a picture is with ordinary carbon paper. It can be used to transfer drawings to paper, fabric, plywood, wood, plaster. Place a sheet of copy paper between the drawing sheet and the surface you want to copy the character to, and carefully trace the outline of the drawing. The inked side of the carbon copy must be in contact with the surface to be decorated.
Step 3
It is very convenient to copy drawings onto paper and fabric using a lightbox (light box) - a device in the form of a low box with a transparent plexiglass lid and backlit from the inside. If you can't find one, use a piece of glass (preferably organic) and a regular backlight lamp. Place your drawing on the glass illuminated from below, cover it on top with the paper or cloth to which you want to translate the character, and trace with a pencil. When transferring to fabric, you can use a special disappearing marker. This method is also good for dark, loose fabrics.
Step 4
If the picture is not very large, then it can be copied using a regular window. True, this method only works during daylight hours. The principle of image translation is the same as in the previous method. Before copying, it is advisable to fix the drawing and the surface to be decorated, for example, with double-sided tape.
Step 5
When implementing larger projects (painting walls, overall furniture), use an overhead projector to transfer a drawing with your favorite character to a large area. This method allows you to avoid more time-consuming and time-consuming redrawing of the picture in squares and increasing it to the required size.
Step 6
If you do not have a ready-made slide with a suitable image, print the image on transparent paper or film. Calculate in advance what size this printout should be so that it can be cut into several fragments corresponding to the size of the frame for transparencies (frame size of 35 mm film).
Step 7
Make transparencies from the fragments of the drawing and, one by one, projecting them onto the wall or furniture to be painted, circle the entire image. At the same time, carefully combine the details of the drawing with each other, which are on different fragments. The dimensions of the translated image depend on the distance between the overhead projector and the vertical plane. The closer the projector is, the smaller the projected character will be.
