The collar should be a decoration for both casual and smart clothes. In knitting, the design of the necklines is a very crucial moment. Think about this part of the work in advance. Get to work only after taking into account all the smallest details.
Instructions
Step 1
If you have planned a round neckline with a placket, prepare an appropriate pattern, taking into account the width of the trimming tape. The strap can be double or single, tie it separately or on the loops of the neck itself. The one-piece neckline will be looser and will stretch when worn.
Step 2
One-piece strips are made after the shoulder seams have been designed. Use circular or stocking needles. Cast on loops from the side weaves. Alternate two loops from one "pigtail", in the next "pigtail" cast on one loop. Change the size of the needles to a smaller size every 3-4 rows to ensure that the single strap fits better to the neck when worn. Close the last row according to the picture.
Step 3
Decorate the round neck with a double plank. Knit the first half of the plank as single, and the second half, on the contrary, increase the size of the knitting needles. Knit a placket of double the width, leave the loops open and baste them to the wrong side with a bowtie stitch.
Step 4
Decorate the prom-shaped neckline with a separate placket. To prevent holes from forming, when you set the loops for the plank, dial them not along the edge, but along the adjacent ones. Knit the bar in a circle, and mark the loop in the center of the front with colored thread. At the mark, knit three stitches together with the front one crossed.
Step 5
If the product with a cape-like neckline requires a clasp, knit a one-piece placket along with the shelves. Make decreases in the front rows, do not reduce the width of the plank.
Step 6
Decorate the neck of the knit with a square cut. Knit the neckline in a "straight line", there is no need to make subtractions, as in the manufacture of oval and promontory cuts. In order to determine the width of the cutout, count the required number of loops in the middle of the fabric, transfer them to the auxiliary knitting needle.
Step 7
Continue knitting using two balls. Carry out the rest of the neckline without applying any subtractions. Start making a decorative strip. Cast on the stitches on the stocking or circular knitting needles from the vertical sides, add the loops left on the additional knitting needle to them, mark the loops in the corners with colored thread. Knit the bar in a circle, but subtract three stitches together to maintain a square shape, use the method as for the promontory. Close the hinges as shown.
