In the hands of a real needlewoman, any simple thing can turn into a small miracle that will delight and surprise. Even if you have never encountered polymer clay (plastic), but you know how to sculpt from plasticine, then with a little imagination, skill and patience, you can mold a beautiful decoration from a few pieces of plastic material.
It is necessary
- - white self-hardening polymer clay (plastic);
- - acrylic paints;
- - thin wire (section 0.2-0.5 mm);
- - PVA glue;
- - matt acrylic varnish;
- - small rhinestones;
- - base for brooches or hairpin;
- - instant glue "Moment";
- - nail scissors;
- - water;
- - brush.
Instructions
Step 1
Always have cling film or sealed zipper bags on hand when working with polymer clay. When pinching off a piece, always seal the rest of the clay as it dries pretty quickly. Of course, if you use baked plastic, then in this case, such a precaution will only be required during storage. In work, self-hardening clay and baked clay are somewhat different, so in this case we will make a reservation right away that it will be about self-hardening.
Step 2
So, take a small piece of clay. For a small decoration, clay the size of a walnut will be enough. Divide the piece in half and add a drop of acrylic or oil paint of the desired color to one of them. Knead the piece until the color is uniform. Now take half of this piece and half of an unpainted piece and knead well as well. You should end up with 3 pieces of different shades. This is necessary so that in the mini-bouquets you get flowers of different shades, which will give them a natural look, and the composition itself will look more harmonious. While the pieces of clay are not in use, remove them under the plastic wrap.
Step 3
Cut the wire into 5 cm pieces according to the number of flowers in the bouquet. If there are leaves, the length of the wire will depend on the length of the leaves. The main thing is that the petioles are of the same length. Make eyelets at the ends of the flower wires.
Step 4
Take a piece of clay with a diameter of 0.5 cm. Give it the shape of a drop. Then cut the blunt end along with scissors, and then each half along. Spread the future petals in different directions and shape them with a smooth rounded tool, lightly pressing on the middle of the petal and rolling out.
Step 5
Dip the wire with a loop in PVA and carefully thread it through the flower. The loop should be inside the receptacle. Squeeze it with your fingers, cut off the remnants with a razor. Put the finished flower to dry by sticking it into the foam sponge.
Step 6
In this way, make as many flowers as you need in the bouquet. For the leaves, mix a lump of clay with a small drop of green paint. The texture of the leaf can be given by pressing a real sheet against it, or using a special molding.
Step 7
When the flowers are dry, sand them with very fine paper, varnish and collect in a bouquet, twisting the wires together. Glue or tie the bouquet to the base. Glue the rhinestones with second glue directly into the center of the flowers. Your flower craft is ready.
