Step 1
Create a new document and select the Ellipse Tool from the toolbar. Draw an even circle holding Ctrl and fill it with a green radial gradient. After that, copy the ball, place the new version inside the previous ball and shrink it a little.
Step 2
Make the new ball fill a little darker. Now on a new layer draw a new small ball, use the Selection Tool and give the ball a flattened shape, and also draw a flat base with rounded edges.
Step 3
Fill the shape with a gradient from white to light green from top to bottom, and then place it at the top of the green large circle - you get a big highlight, and the circle will take on volume.
Step 4
Draw another green circle, and above it draw a black circle of the same size and move it up so that a green crescent forms at the bottom. On the Pathfinder panel, select the Substract from shape areas option and press the Expand button.
Step 5
You will receive a single crescent moon figurine. Place it at the bottom of the 3D ball and fill it with a light green gradient. In order to make the ball look like a Christmas tree, draw its metal top - using the pen tool, draw a volumetric small rectangle and fill it with a linear gradient from left to right, so that the figure acquires a shade of yellow metal.
Step 6
For convenience, use a gradient from the metal palette in the program's gradient library. Draw a white highlight on the metal part with the Rectangle Tool. Group all the elements on the top of the ball and draw an ellipse above it, filling it with a metallic gradient.
Step 7
Inside the ellipse, draw a hole in dark color into which the thread of the Christmas tree ball should be pulled. Draw a wire using the Object> Expand option.
Step 8
Draw a shadow for the Christmas tree ball, and then place it on any new background with snowflakes or Christmas tree branches.
