The periscope is an optical device, it is used mainly by the military in order to provide the ability to navigate the terrain from a shelter. Such a device can often be seen on submarines. However, savvy hunters are also not averse to getting the device, because with its help you can track the game and remain unnoticed.
Instructions
Step 1
Take two identical rectangular or round pocket mirrors of any size. If the mirrors are round, then glue a tube with the appropriate diameter, 50-100 cm long from cardboard or paper. By the way, you can use two or three cans of Pringles chips.
Step 2
Attach the mirrors obliquely at the ends of the tube at 45 degree angles parallel to each other. The reflective side of the mirrors must face the inside of the pipe. Cut out holes with a slightly smaller diameter opposite the mirrors in the pipe wall.
Step 3
For rectangular mirrors, make a tube of four strips of thick cardboard or plywood, securing them with corner strips using nails and glue. Cover the outside of the tube with dark paper to prevent light from entering the joints. Attach the mirrors in the same way at an angle of 45 degrees.
Step 4
Glue them to the oblique blocks inserted into the pipe, or to the oblique cuts at the ends of the pipe. The inner surface of the periscope should be painted with black ink or pasted over with black paper. Close the ends of the tube so that light only enters through the holes opposite the mirrors. Outside, you can attach a visor to the top hole by cutting it out of tin or cardboard.
