Stars can be depicted using geometric constructions using a protractor, ruler and compasses. For application, this method is quite suitable. But in the figure, such constructions do not look very good, so it is better to draw an asterisk, regardless of how many rays it has - 4, 5, 6 or more.

Instructions
Step 1
Start with a five-pointed star. You can lay the sheet as you like, but if you are drawing an asterisk for the first time, lay it straight. This will make it easier to understand where which line to lead. Select a point on the sheet and draw a line from it to the right and up at an angle of about 135 °. Great precision is not needed in this case, but the direction must be observed.
Step 2
From the point where your pencil is, draw a line to the right and down so that you get a sharp corner at the top. The length of the second line is approximately equal to the length of the first segment.
Step 3
Without lifting your pencil, draw a line of the same length to the left and up. The angle between the second and third lines should be approximately equal to the angle at the top of the future star. The third angle should also be approximately equal to it. Draw the fourth line horizontally, without tearing off the pencil. Its length is equal to the length of all other lines. Draw the last line from the right corner to the left downwards, thus closing the asterisk.
Step 4
The Star of David consists of two equilateral triangles. Determine a point on the sheet. Draw a horizontal line from it to the right. Determine approximately the middle of this line and imagine that you are drawing a perpendicular downward from this point. Its length is slightly less than the length of the horizontal line. Connect the ends of the horizontal line to the end point of the perpendicular.
Step 5
Approximately through the middle of the proposed perpendicular, draw another horizontal line, equal in length to the first. In the same way, imagine that you move a perpendicular through its middle, only it will go up. Similarly, connect the ends of the line to the highest point of the perpendicular.
Step 6
If you are drawing fireworks, then the stars there can be of very different shapes. For a quadrangular star, you can first sketch a square and draw diagonals in it. With one of the diagonals represented by the axis of a narrow rhombus, draw this rhombus. Draw a second diamond on the second diagonal. On the basis of a quadrangular star, you can also draw an octagonal one, representing not only the diagonals, but also the midlines of the square as the axes of the rhombuses.
