World of warplanes is a massively multiplayer online action game dedicated to air battles on military aircraft of the 30-50s. The project continued a series of war games launched by the popular game World of tanks.
The release date for World of warplanes is November 12, 2013. From that day on, the game became available for download to everyone. In Europe and the United States, the release date was November 13th.
Combat aircraft
World of warplanes offers players a choice of over 120 different combat aircraft from the USSR, Germany, USA, Great Britain and Japan. They are all divided into three classes: fighters, heavy fighters and attack aircraft. Each class has its own characteristic advantages and disadvantages and is designed to perform a specific task in battle.
Fighters are maneuverable, fast and perfect for destroying enemy aircraft. Heavy fighters have more powerful armament and armor, but lower speed and worse maneuverability. Stormtroopers are better suited for destroying ground targets.
Each aircraft has its own unique technical characteristics. At the time of registration, each player receives one starting plane of the 1st level of each nation. By participating in aerial battles, earning credits and experience, the player can spend them on research and purchase of new modules and aircraft of a higher class.
Experience points are one of the main currencies in the game, allowing you to unlock new modules for each aircraft (engine, weapons, glider) and new aircraft of higher tiers.
To reach the vehicle of the highest, tenth, level, it is necessary to consistently pass all vehicles of the lower levels in the tree of development. Premium aircraft are also present in the game - a unique technique purchased for in-game gold. The premium plane does not need to be pumped and opened. It is distinguished by increased profitability, which allows the player to earn the necessary credits well.
Credits - in-game currency needed to repair an aircraft damaged in battle, replenish ammunition and consumables, purchase new aircraft models and modules for them, provided that they have been researched in advance.
Game modes
Air battles in World of warplanes involve two teams of 15 aircraft each. The balancer selects equipment in teams so that they come out approximately equal in strength. Therefore, the outcome of the battle depends on the skills and abilities of the pilots, team coherence.
To win, you need to gain and maintain an advantage over the opposing team, or destroy all enemy vehicles. To gain an advantage over the enemy, you need to destroy its ground objects and defend your own. The battle time is limited to 15 minutes. For beginners, there are training and training combat modes.
Economy
The game is conditionally free. Everyone can download and install the game client and start playing without investing real money. However, playing on high-tier vehicles is unprofitable: the amount of credits earned in a battle is often not enough even for repairs and ammunition replenishment. The way out of this situation is to play low-level planes or purchase in-game gold.
When you invest real money in the game, game gold is credited to your account. Gold can be used to purchase a premium account, premium aircraft, and higher quality consumables. A premium account allows the player to receive 50% more experience points and credits for each battle, allowing them to pump airplanes faster and reduce the unprofitableness of the game on high-tier vehicles.
