A lot of training and following certain rules will help you learn how to shoot a hunting rifle and always return home with prey.

Step 1
Start learning by shooting at fixed targets. Go to a shooting range or wasteland and shoot, shoot, shoot. The more shots you make, the more hits will be. Train until you are confident in hitting targets at a distance of 20, 35, 50 meters.
Step 2
Pull the trigger firmly and quickly, but without a jerk, a smooth slow descent is not acceptable when hunting. Remember to hold the gun correctly: it should be pressed against your shoulder, there should be no gap between the butt and cheek. Watch the position of the bar - it should not be open, but the front sight must also be seen. To get the correct position automatically, practice raising the gun at home.
Step 3
Once you have learned how to shoot well and quickly at fixed targets, proceed to the next stage. To do this, choose a safe place, free from obstacles in the form of trees and bushes, and also such that there are no people or pets in the affected area, and start training on moving targets.
Step 4
Learn to shoot a hunting rifle while overtaking a target. To do this, move the gun together with the target and, without stopping the movement, shoot. Do not under any circumstances stop the gun at the moment of the shot - this is the most gross and frequent mistake when shooting in flight. Throw the gun into or behind the bird and fire a shot after overtaking the game and a gap appears. Consider the location and convenience of finding prey.
Step 5
If after the first shot it was not possible to hit the target, in no case do not shoot in the same direction several times in a row, at random. Do not even hope - this is a 100% miss, and you will not learn how to shoot this way. Aim carefully every time, even if you are shooting at the flock. In this case, aim one bird in front, and it is quite possible that you will be able to hit at least one of them.
Step 6
When hunting ducks, woodcocks, try to cross the bird with trunks and shoot. In this case, do not try to carefully aim, any delay will lead to a stop of the gun and a miss.
