Instructions
Step 1
Before realizing your intention to sell a hunting rifle, you should understand that you can sell it or your existing self-defense weapon in one of two ways: sell it through a specialized weapons store or re-register it to another individual.
Step 2
To sell a gun through a gun store, you must first notify the department for licensing and permitting work of the local police department (more precisely, the body where your weapon is registered) about such a decision. Fill out the notice that you will be given in the permitting system. Attach the weapon permit and passport to the notification.
Step 3
If no reasons are found that prevent the sale of weapons, you will receive an appropriate confirmation, which you will present when registering the weapon in the store.
Step 4
If you sell a gun by re-registering it to an individual, then the potential buyer must obtain a license from the licensing division to purchase this type of weapon. Then you have to come together to that division of the licensing authority where the gun is registered. There, the owner needs to draw up an application for re-issuing the weapon to the purchaser (he presents his license).
Step 5
The sale of a hunting rifle additionally requires a control shot. The direction for such shooting is issued by the permitting system.
Step 6
The situation is more complicated if, for some reason, you intend to sell an officially issued hunting knife along with the gun. When re-registering a knife for another hunter, one often has to face uncertainty in the re-registration procedure. The established norms indicate definitely only the mandatory registration of a knife in a hunting ticket, but do not regulate the procedure for transferring a knife to a new owner.
