You can easily make such a scarf with your own hands. If you decide to knit a downy shawl, then get ready for the fact that this work has quite a few stages. You should have the most basic knitting skills. To get the job done, you need knitting needles # 2 and 300-400 grams of fluff.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, get some fluff ready for the job ahead. The process of preparing the down is quite long and laborious, and here's what you have to do:
1. Go through the fluff, remove all kinds of debris such as coarse hair, sawdust, etc.
2. Now pinch the fluff before starting to wash it.
3. Wash the fluff in warm water with shampoo, rinse twice, dry.
4. Pluck the fluff again, comb it by hand with a special comb.
5. Stir (so that the color of the fluff is uniform), comb twice more.
Step 2
Now start making yarn. Start spinning a thin thread on a thin scarf (also called a stole), spin a thicker thread on a regular scarf. Be guided by the fact that one scarf will take from 300 to 500 grams of fluff.

Now collect the thread in skeins. Then retrain the threads and wind them into balls.
Step 4
Now proceed directly to knitting a scarf. There are many ways to knit shawls, but in this tutorial we will focus on a shawl that has a solid center and a beautiful patterned edge. This is a more or less easy way and is suitable for practicing.
Step 5
Start knitting in the middle. Cast on the required number of stitches plus two more edge stitches. Cast on two knitting needles and one thread. Make the number of loops according to the size of the scarf you want to end up with. For example, for a scarf measuring 120x120 cm, you will need 200-230 loops.
Step 6
In all subsequent rows, remove, without knitting, the hem loop at the beginning of the row. Insert the needle from right to left, while during operation, keep the working thread on the index finger. Knit the hem loop at the end of the row as purl.
Step 7
To get a square center, make the number of rows more than the number of loops in a row.
Step 8
Now start knitting the border. Knit it only with front loops, as well as the middle. Cast on 5 loops plus two hem, knit a purl row. In all other rows, remove without knitting. Edge loop at the beginning of the row, insert the knitting needle from right to left, keep the working thread on the index finger. Knit the hem at the end of the row as purl.
Step 9
When you tie the middle and the border, then they need to be connected. This is best done using an additional thread. To join on the left knitting needle, cast on the edge loops on one side of the middle, and on the right knitting needle - the edge loops of the border.
Step 10
Now, from the right knitting needle, transfer the loop to the left, knit these two loops as one. Place two stitches on the left knitting needle and knit three stitches as one. Continue knitting like this until the end of the hem. Tie the next border parallel to the first, and tie the other two completely, typing on the knitting needles along with the corners.
