To get a high-quality and beautiful stitch on the sewing machine, you need to properly thread the threads. If the upper thread is installed on the machine in a spool, then the lower thread should be wound on a special part - a bobbin. This process can be carried out manually, but it is easier and better to do it with the help of a winder located on the sewing machine itself.

Instructions
Step 1
Choose the thread you need according to the color. Remember that the bobbin thread should be 1 number thinner than the upper thread or, in extreme cases, the same thickness.
Step 2
Open the slide plate on the machine and remove the bobbin case from the hook. Remove the bobbin from the cap. Sometimes a new bobbin may not fit an existing bobbin. Check if it fits easily into the cap. Never try to shove it in with force. Doing so may break the spring on the bobbin case.
Step 3
The winder can be located in different parts of the machine, depending on the model, but this does not change the principle of winding the bobbin. Set the handwheel of the sewing machine to idle (the main shaft is disconnected from the handwheel) - the needle remains stationary as the handwheel turns. Slide the bobbin onto the bobbin winder so that the key on the bobbin fits into the groove on the bobbin.
Step 4
Place the spool of thread on the spool pin. Thread the thread from the spool between the tension washers. In this case, the thread coming from the tensioner should cross with the one that comes from the coil. Fasten the end of the thread with a few turns on the bobbin or pass it through the hole in the upper disc. Bring the bobbin winder to the special stop.
Step 5
Make sure that the bobbin turns in the correct direction and the thread winds up with a few strokes of the flywheel. After that, wind up by turning the handwheel using the drive.
Step 6
Pay attention to the spool of thread or lightly support it with your hand. when spinning quickly, the spool may jump off the shaft. The winder will stop (snap off) when the bobbin is fully wound. However, you can stop winding as soon as you think there is enough thread on the bobbin. Remember, you do not need to wind the bobbin completely to sew one stitch.
Step 7
Move the bobbin away from the stop and remove the bobbin. Restore the working stroke of the machine.
