Embroidery is a well-known way of decorating clothes, art objects, interior design, accessories and much more, known since ancient times. Today, hand embroidery is considered an exclusive decoration for any item that increases its value and value. There are a wide variety of embroidery styles and types of patterns. One of the simplest to perform, but effective and openwork patterns is hemstitch embroidery. In the hemstitching, the threads of the fabric are pulled in one direction in some places, and the remaining threads are connected and stitched in bundles.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to embroider the "Column" hemstitch, cast on the needle 3-5 threads on the bottom edge of the product from left to right. Draw the thread and pull it towards the fabric, then use the needle to loop the resulting column of thread from left to right. Sew the thread in the same place, grabbing two more threads of the fabric. Then go to the opposite side of the garment and re-sew the stitches of thread.
Step 2
The hemstitch in the shape of the letter "X" looks beautiful - to complete it, first sew the "Column" hemstitch, and then in the middle of it with a thread and a needle, gather two columns together and make a knot on them, grabbing two columns with a thread, passing under them, and then wrapping them and tightening. Make a second loop on the knot for strength.
Step 3
Another type of hemstitch is the Polotnyanka hemstitch. To complete this pattern, sew along the edges of the product on both sides of the stitching. Connect several stitches with one bind of the thread with an air loop.
Step 4
Strengthen the stitching between the stitches at the bottom, wrap the two stitches on the left, and then go up and to the right for two stitches, then go down to where the chain stitch starts. Sew a second chain stitch, twisting the stitching up to the fifth column. Make a similar second stitch between the fifth and fourth stitches.
Step 5
On the basis of the "Column" hemstitch, you can easily make a flooring hemstitch. Fasten the thread on the "Column" hemstitch and start moving from right to left, typing on the needle at the same time four posts, placing the first post under the needle, the second over the needle, the third under the needle and the fourth over the needle again.
Step 6
Then pull the thread back, typing the fourth column for the needle, the third for the needle, the second for the needle, and the first for the needle. Pull the thread and direct it again from right to left, continuing to twine all other stitches in a similar way.
