On a sunny summer day, such a hat will be appropriate everywhere: in the country, on the sea beach or on the river bank.
It is necessary
- - tissue flaps into a cage;
- - wire;
- - pins, threads;
- - roller knife;
- - non-woven fabric G 785, H 250;
- - large ruler;
- - Styrofoam (polystyrene) mannequin;
Instructions
Step 1
Strengthen the tissue patches with a pad. Slice 2 cm wide strips with an oblique roller knife. Cut out one circle with a diameter of 5 cm.
Step 2
Attach a circle to the mannequin. Stick the strips of fabric on it one after the other so that you get the top of the hat with a diameter of 20 cm. When gathering the sections, stitch the strips on top of each other "to the edge".
Step 3
Gather the outer edge of the resulting hat top with large stitches to the size of the head circumference.
Step 4
Cut about 10 strips of length equal to the circumference of the head with a seam allowance of 2 cm. Alternately pin on the mannequin, and then stitch.
Step 5
For the brim of the hat, first make a ring with a diameter equal to the circumference of the head. Then, after gathering, pin and stitch on the rest of the strips.
Step 6
Cut out a template from a strip to fit the brim of the hat from the stripes, and along it - the fabric for the inside of the brim, along the inside cuts with an allowance of 1 cm, and on the outside without allowances.
Step 7
Press the pad onto the brim of the hat. Align the brim of stripes and the brim of fabric, pin to the crown of the hat, stitch.
Step 8
Cut the bias tape out of the fabric, fold in half, tuck the cuts and press. Insert the outer cuts of the hat crown into the bias tape, then wire the wire into the fold of the trim. Sew on the bias tape.
