A crocheted egg can be a great Easter gift. Place graceful "lace" souvenirs in a basket or hang them on a pussy willow branch, creating a beautiful festive composition.

Step 1
To keep your decorated Easter eggs lasting as long as possible, use wooden blanks. Buy wood-carved eggs of the correct size. You can purchase special stands for them to make the souvenir stable.
Step 2
For hanging, you need lighter blanks that you can make yourself. Gently pierce the raw egg on both sides and blow out the contents. Rinse and dry the empty shells thoroughly.
Step 3
Choose the right thread for tying. It is most convenient to work with fine cotton or acrylic yarn. It does not slip and looks quite decorative. Find the right color scheme. You can tie the eggs with a variegated pattern or make them solid. Souvenirs of delicate pastel shades, decorated with ribbons, feathers or beads, look very beautiful.
Step 4
Tie a chain of four chain stitches and close it into a ring. Work the second row in single crochet stitches, taking two stitches from each stitch. Repeat the pattern for three more rows. Try on the resulting cap on the egg - it should fit snugly and sit flat without forming bubbles.
Step 5
Knit the fifth row with an openwork pattern. Knit three double crochets, cast on three stitches and knit three more stitches from the fourth stitch. Work the entire row in the same way. Knit the next three in single crochets. Place the cap over the egg.
Step 6
Make the second half of the openwork cover, repeating the pattern of the picture. Slip it over the other end of the egg. Take the hook and attach one half of the harness to the other with chain stitches. At the seam, sew beads that match the color of the yarn.
Step 7
Decorate the egg by pulling thin ribbons through the openwork rows and tie them with bows. Attach a loop of ribbon or chain of air loops to one end so that the jewelry can be hung.
