Jacques Perrin (real name Jacques André Simone) is a famous French theater and film actor, screenwriter, director and producer. He began his professional acting career in the late 1950s. He starred in films with the stars of cinema: Claudia Cardinale and Marcello Mastroianni.
For the first time on the screen, the artist appeared at the age of 5 years. He starred in a cameo role in the film "Les Portes de la nuit" by the famous French director Marcel Carne, along with legendary performers Serge Reggioni and Yves Montand.

His father, Alexander Simone, was the director of the French repertory theater Comedie Francaise, and his mother, Marie Perrin, was a theater actress. Jacques has a sister, Eva, who also chose a creative profession: she played in the theater and acted in films. Among his relatives were many representatives of the arts. One of them was an uncle - Antoine Balpet, a famous French actor of the last century.
Surrounded by creative people since childhood, the boy began to take an early interest in art. At the age of 5, thanks to the assistance of his parents and their acquaintance with many representatives of theater and cinema, he starred in his first film "Les Portes de la nuit", performing a small cameo role.
The young man received his primary education in Paris. Already in his school years, he decided that he would certainly become an actor and will perform on the theater stage. He received his professional acting education at the French Academy of Arts.
The creative career of the young artist began in the late 1950s. For many years he performed on the theater stage, played in classical and modern plays. He did not limit his activities only to the theater and in 1957 he came to the cinema.
Film career
After the first role, played in 1946, 11 years passed before the young man reappeared on the screen. Director Claude Boissol offered him a small role in the crime comedy "Bearskin", which also starred French film stars Jean Richard and Nicole Courcelles.
Two years later, the artist got the opportunity to star in the war drama Green Harvest by François Villers. The plot of the picture is set in occupied France in 1943. A group of young people decides to confront the invaders. They blow up the commandant's office to free the prisoners. But after the explosion in the city, they begin to arrest and shoot everyone who could have anything to do with the event.
In the drama Truth, released in 1960, the actor co-starred with film star Brigid Bardot. The action of the tape takes place in Paris, where a girl named Domenic comes from a provincial town. She dreams of meeting her lover, but he refuses the girl. Out of despair, Domenic commits a terrible crime - he kills his friend, after which he ends up in prison.
The film was highly praised by film critics and in 1961 received a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination.
In the same year, the young artist appeared on the screen as Lorenzo Fineardi in the melodrama “Girl with a Suitcase” directed by Valerio Zurlini. The main female role of Aida was played by Claudia Cardinale. The picture told about the suddenly flared up feelings of a very young Lorenzo for a provincial girl Aida, whom his brother deceived by introducing himself as a famous music producer and promising to help her with her singing career.
The tape was shown at the Cannes Film Festival in 1961 and was nominated for the main prize - Palme d'Or.
In the drama Family Chronicle, Jacques starred with the famous Italian actor Marcello Mastroianni, who played the journalist Enrico Corsi, who lost his younger brother. In 1962, the film won the main prize of the Venice Film Festival - The Golden Lion.

The film tells about the murder of the head of a liberal organization, which the police are trying to present as an accident. The case is transferred to the prosecutor's office investigator, who gradually begins to understand that representatives of the authorities are involved in the crime.
The tape received 2 Oscars and 3 more nominations for this award, as well as the Cannes Film Festival, British Academy and Golden Globe awards.

The couple had three sons: Mathieu, Maxance and Lancelot. Two older boys - Mathieu and Maxance - have already starred in several popular projects and are going to devote their future lives to art.
