It is pleasant and interesting to see beautiful, bright and vivid photos from a party in a club, but even better is to take them. A photographer with a camera on the dance floor is the star of any club, but the results of his work largely depend on more than just technical skills.
Instructions
Step 1
Use an external flash unit. Only she guarantees clear photos in dark conditions. It is better to use a medium size flash diffuser (shovel type). Put it in TTL mode, perform rear-curtain sync. Never use long exposures. Shooting without flash is possible, for example, for artists performing on stage, where there is already enough light. In other cases, its absence will ruin the frame.
Step 2
Shoot exclusively in manual mode. Set the shutter speed to 1/60, adjust the aperture based on the lighting (2, 8 to 5, 6). The brighter the room, the lower the ISO value should be. Typically, the sensitivity ranges from 640 to 1000.
Step 3
Set up spot metering, which is a good solution in low light conditions. He will help make portraits of the club's visitors. Multi-zone or center-weighted metering will cause the camera to compensate for unlit areas, resulting in overexposure of the subjects in the photo.
Step 4
Move around the club trying to get attention. For example, lift the camera up. This way you can define yourself and show the direction for those who wish to capture themselves in the bright colors of the club. Try to be polite and not deny anyone a shot.
Step 5
Capture the highlights. Performances by eminent DJs, go-go beauties, regular visitors and seasoned party-goers - all of them are worthy of being included in the chronicle of photo history. But do not overlook attractive ladies dancing on the dance floor, bartenders building cocktail pyramids and other attributes of nightclub parties.
