Usually children are happy to imitate their parents, but decorating a Christmas tree with small children can be dangerous, especially if the toys are glass and the tree is tall. In this case, the risk is too great that the baby, not yet having good fine motor skills, will fall, drop the toy and be cut by fragments. Make a Christmas tree especially for your child with your own hands.

So that the child can also decorate the Christmas tree, you can make a safe felt tree with your own hands. It will serve as a wonderful decoration for any room in the house and will not take up much space.

To make such a decorative Christmas tree, you will need a large sheet of green felt (for the Christmas tree itself) or thick flannel, as well as several small sheets of felt for sewing Christmas tree decorations and gifts, glue or thread with a needle. For toys and gifts to be well attached to the tree, you will also need a burdock fastener.

The process of work is extremely simple - we cut out the simplest silhouette of a Christmas tree from a large sheet of felt and attach it to the wall using double-sided tape or buttons. Cut out circles (future balls on the Christmas tree), ovals (cones), a star from small pieces of felt. You can also cut "gifts" under the Christmas tree, if you wish. If you have time, skill and desire, you can decorate "toys" and gifts with embroidery, braid, lace.

We glue the "burdock" on the back of the "toys" and "gifts". The Christmas tree is ready. Put a small gift for the child under it from December 31 to January 1.

At the end of the New Year's holidays, simply roll it up and put it in a plastic bag so that you can decorate your house with such a Christmas tree again next year.
