To draw a bear step by step, an artist needs experience in depicting animals. This is because these creatures are fierce and dangerous predators. And transferring these qualities to paper is not easy.
It is necessary
- - album sheet;
- - soft and hard pencils;
- - corrective eraser.
Instructions
Step 1
On a sketchbook, draw the base lines for the torso and limbs. Draw a circle (head) on a long, curved horizontal line. If you want to maintain the correct proportions, determine for yourself the breed of bear that you want to draw in stages. The dimensions of a brown bear and a polar bear differ as much as the size of a grizzly and a panda.
Step 2
Draw a raised line above the circle and two mounds at both ends. Draw a semicircle under the head, connecting the ends of the mounds. This will create a bear's face and ears. Draw another one over the main body line. Do the same with the limbs. Use a soft pencil for this step as it is easier to erase without leaving any marks.
Step 3
Draw two horizontal lines on the face. Draw a triangle below between them and a horizontal line below it. Focusing on these strokes, draw in more detail the eyes, nose and mouth. To make it easier for you to draw a bear in stages, find a photo of this animal and be guided by the image.
Step 4
Add details. Add fur by making short strokes along the outline. Make some bold lines at the base of the feet (claws). Shade the drawing with a hard pencil, focusing on the shadows.
