There are many interesting and unusual ways to decorate any holiday and delight your friends and loved ones with a beautiful sight. One such method is the launch of flying Chinese lanterns, which are gaining more and more popularity in the modern entertainment and holiday industries. Such lanterns will add romance and originality to any event - a wedding, anniversary, children's birthday or corporate party. You can sew such flashlights from thick paper with your own hands.

It is necessary

  • - bamboo,
  • - paper,
  • - protective fireproof composition,
  • - threads.

Instructions

Step 1

Use bamboo as a base for a flashlight - this material is strong and flexible enough, and also lightweight. It works well for these purposes. Use paper that is sturdy but soft and lightweight to make the flashlight itself. Use paper no heavier than 25 g / m2 to lift the flashlight up.

Step 2

Make flat lanterns for a start - this form is the easiest to manufacture. Prepare the patterns of the flashlight parts and its frame so that its final size is 100-110 cm in height.

Step 3

Saturate the paper with a wood protective compound available from your hardware store.

Step 4

The volumetric shapes of flying lanterns are not easy to make, but a flat lantern will also look impressive. To make it, cut out two sheets of 120x120 cm in size from the selected paper impregnated with a non-combustible composition.

Step 5

Cut out two rounded parts from square canvases, slightly flattened at the top and lengthening at the bottom. Using strong threads, treated with an appropriate fireproof compound or wax, sew the parts together. Make each seam at least 1 cm wide by folding the edges before sewing.

Step 6

Use the bamboo stems to make a flexible, rigid, rounded flashlight frame. Cross the two torch wires in the center of the circle. Cover the wire with a special coating to prevent rust. After securing the wire to the frame, secure the paper dome to the bamboo circle with glue or thread.
