It is necessary

  • - Wheat flour
  • - fine salt
  • - PVA glue
  • - simple wooden photo frame
  • - silicone mat
  • - brushes
  • - acrylic paints
  • - toothpicks
  • - rolling pin
  • - wooden plank
  • - acrylic lacquer

Instructions

Step 1

Mix in a bowl two glasses of flour and one glass of fine salt, pour in half a glass of water and one spoonful of PVA glue, knead the plastic dough. The dough dries quickly, so immediately place it in a container with a lid so that you can easily pinch off the necessary pieces.

Step 2

Roll out a piece of dough with a rolling pin on a wooden board. The layer must be at least 5 mm thick. Attach a finished wooden frame to the dough and circle it with a knife. Crumple the excess dough into a lump and place in a container. Transfer the dough frame to the silicone mat and roll it a little with a rolling pin. The dough frame should be slightly wider than the wooden one.

Step 3

Sculpt decorations from the dough. Roll small beads or grapes out of the dough balls. Make leaves from the flattened balls. Using a toothpick, apply streaks to the leaves. The ballpoint pen cap can be used to make round dents in the dough where needed. Smear the places where the dough is held with a brush dipped in water. Use your imagination and visuals to frame the frame.

Step 4

Transfer the silicone mat with a frame to a baking sheet and place in the oven to bake. Turn the heat as low as possible and open the door. Baking may take several hours depending on the thickness of the product. The frame will be ready, if by tapping on it with your fingernail, you hear a ringing, if the sound is dull, then the frame needs to be dried.

Step 5

The dough frame should cool completely. Coat the back of the frame with PVA glue. Glue the simple wooden frame you used to make the pattern.

Step 6

Cover the entire frame with old gold acrylic paint. You can use any paint color you like. First, paint over the details that are in the depth of the frame, and then all the convex details.

Step 7

Cover the entire frame with water-based varnish.
