Instructions
Step 1
Degrease the outside of the pot with alcohol or acetone. You can use a nail polish remover. Cover the outside of the pot with white acrylic paint, leaving the rim or 2-3 cm unpainted on the top and the same on the bottom at the pallet.
Step 2
After the paint is dry, to avoid staining the white surface, stick tape or masking tape on it along the border with the unpainted parts. Apply spray paint or regular acrylic paint in a contrasting color (blue, green, red) to the rim and bottom line of the pot. Once the coating is dry, remove the masking tape.
Step 3
From a patterned paper napkin, cut the pattern along the outline. If it is multi-layered, peel off the top layer. Press the napkin against the pot and gently brush the acrylic lacquer onto it with a brush. Movements should be in the direction from the center to the edges of the picture. Make sure that the napkin does not bend.
Step 4
When the design is dry, cover it with another coat of acrylic varnish. This will protect the image from damage, the pot can now be washed.
Step 5
If you have pasted several pictures, for example, flowers, the gaps between them can be decorated with rhinestones. Secure them with all-purpose glue, and decorate the rim and bottom of the pot with tape.
Step 6
You can also decorate a flower pot with a knitted cover. Crochet a chain of 5 air loops, close it into a ring. Tie with single crochet. Next, knit a circle equal in diameter to the bottom of the pot.
Step 7
Then start decreasing and adding loops depending on the shape of the flower pot. When knitting, try on a cover on it. At the level of the rim of the pot, make several hinge reductions so that the edge of the cover folds inward and is securely fixed. If necessary, it can be easily removed for washing. Work 2 to 3 cm more and finish.
