The duckling is a fairly simple, but at the same time funny character that any novice artist can easily draw. If you have recently started working with a computer graphics tablet, the duckling is again an interesting object for the first attempts to draw with this device. When drawing, you can use whichever is closer to you. The main thing is to follow several steps.
Instructions
Step 1
Come up with a legend. Every "living" drawing has it. If you want yours to turn out just like that, you need to invent for yourself the story of our quacking hero. Perhaps this is an ugly duckling who hides alone under a large burdock leaf from the rain. Or maybe this is a mischievous fidget who overtook his mother and plunged into the water with a crash, thus splashing everyone who remained on the shore. Coming up with this story, you will greatly facilitate the process of creating the surrounding world and additional small, but important details.
Step 2
Draw the main lines. There is nothing difficult here. The figurine of a duck is a pair of legs with triangular legs, a small oval more like an egg, widening in the chest and tapering towards the tail, as well as a head with a small, still growing beak.
Step 3
Add details to create the character of the duckling. What you finish will reflect what your little goose is. Draw several feathers sticking out different sides on the tail and head to give restlessness, or vice versa, as if covering your head with plumage and lowering the beak to give a kind of sad image.
Step 4
Pay special attention to your eyes. Round duck eyes perfectly convey emotions. Depending on how the light is reflected from the eyes, the mood of the duckling will change. Try experimenting with this to match your character's eyes.
Step 5
Only the legs of the duck require detailed drawing. If you look at photographs of real ducklings, you will see how unusual the structure of their membranes is. If you can convey the features of their overflow and falling shadows thanks to the protrusions, your drawing will turn out to be natural and realistic.
