The scheme is a preliminary idea of the future work performed in the embroidery technique (beads, cross, satin stitch, etc.). The scheme can be colored or black and white, and in both cases, each color is additionally indicated by a special symbol.

It is necessary

  • Canvas;
  • Threads and / or beads for embroidery;
  • Needles;
  • Embroidery hoop;
  • Scheme.

Instructions

Step 1

Buy threads or beads of the required colors in advance. It will be better if you buy with a margin. In particular, beads of the same color in different batches may differ slightly, which will affect the result of the work.

When embroidering with beads using the monastery technique, pay attention to the size of the beads: they must all be the same. In this sense, prefer Czech and Japanese beads to Chinese.

Step 2

Canvas is a fabric divided into even squares. This makes it much easier to calculate stitch sizes than on regular fabrics. With a thread of a contrasting color, sew the entire canvas vertically and horizontally every 10 squares (respectively, 10 future stitches).

The diagram is also divided into squares, with every ten marked with a thicker stripe. Cut a piece of canvas according to the following formula: the number of squares according to the scheme + 3 cm on each side of the future work. This difference will allow the fabric to be pulled over the hoop.

Step 3

Calculate where the middle of the embroidery will be. Hoop this section and tighten well. Select the thread or bead color you want and start embroidering.

Strictly follow the pattern: the number of stitches should correspond to the number of squares marked with the corresponding symbols.

When embroidering with threads, some squares have to be skipped (if a different color is marked in them). When embroidering with beads, type beads after beads, without missing the squares.
