Scheme - the graphic basis of a product made of beads, stone, in some cases, threads and other materials. These drawings are compiled in such a way as to make the work of the master as easy as possible. However, for beginners, even the simplest schemes become completely incomprehensible. Special symbols and general rules help to understand the diagrams.

Step 1
Start learning with simple products and diagrams. These can be single-row chains, solid wide or narrow bracelets. On this basis, you will master the basic weaving techniques that are present in one form or another in all bead jewelry. Knowing the scheme of a simple technique, you can understand how it has changed in a particular piece of jewelry. At the same time, many of the tips noted in the diagram will become superfluous for you, since even without them the direction of weaving and the arrangement of elements are clear.
Step 2
A detail of a certain size and color (bead, bugle, bead) is marked in a special way: this is especially visible on color schemes, on which all elements of all colors and sizes are marked on an enlarged scale. You just have to string the beads in the correct order. In monochrome schemes, colors are marked with special symbols, and sizes are determined in the same way as in color schemes. For weaving on them, more attention is needed so as not to get confused in the symbols and colors. Color schemes are more common and popular.
Step 3
The direction of weaving is indicated by arrows. As a rule, weaving starts from the upper left corner. The steps are arranged in order to the right or bottom of the previous one. If in the diagram, as in the illustration, the arrows point in two opposite directions, then the product is woven into two needles, each of which is, naturally, at the opposite end of the thread. To start working on such a product, first dial the required number of beads in the middle of the thread, and then connect the extreme one and proceed to the next weaving step.
Step 4
In the weaving pattern, it is often necessary to modify the previous step by braiding a new row to the side beads. It can be marked without arrows, but you can draw them yourself based on the logic of the product. There is no one-size-fits-all answer, but the lack of weaving direction suggests it’s obvious.
