The snowmobile has ceased to be exclusively a working vehicle used in the harsh Far North. Today, riding on it is a fascinating form of recreation and sport for people leading an active lifestyle.
Instructions
Step 1
Sports snowmobiles are required to participate in races. Unlike their tourist and utilitarian counterparts, they are more powerful and lightweight. Such a car has no trunk and only one seat. Thanks to the light metal base frame and short track, the snowmobile is maneuverable and easy to handle. A motor with an engine capacity of up to 700-800 cm3 is capable of accelerating the car up to a speed exceeding 200 km / h.
Step 2
The most dynamic and spectacular discipline of snowmobiling is cross-country. To conduct it, you need a closed track with natural obstacles, located outside the roads. The length of the circle should not be less than 15 km. Each race lasts about 20 minutes. High-speed sections contain alternating elevation changes, difficult turns and jumps. Participants overtake rivals during the race.
Step 3
In cross-country races, called "enduro" ("endurance"), the main quality of the participant is not only the ability to overtake the opponent, but also show endurance in overcoming the track. The enduro trail is a vicious circle that runs over rough terrain. In this case, the inclusion of public roads is possible. The length of the circle is 40-60 km. Drivers need to cover 3-4 such distances per day. The circle is divided into several time control intervals. To overcome each of them, the rider is given a strict time limit, deviation from which is punishable by penalty points.
Step 4
The fastest discipline is sprint cross. On a cross track, closed in a ring and equipped with many different obstacles, turns and jumps, a series of races with the participation of several riders is organized. The length of the route is 0, 65-0, 80 km. Its width in the narrowest place should be at least 7 meters.
Step 5
When driving a snowmobile, it is important for the rider to take care of his own safety. Before each departure, the machine must be thoroughly inspected and serviced in a timely manner. When starting to cross the road, stop the snowmobile and make sure there are no vehicles.
Step 6
You should dress in snowmobile equipment. Outerwear should protect from the wind. A helmet, gloves and boots are required. The helmet must be suitable for the rider and must have a safety standard certificate.
