It is good when there is a manual sewing machine in the house. For example, you can fold your trousers fairly quickly without resorting to a tailor shop. These machines are easy to use, but special attention should be paid to the threading process.
Instructions
Step 1
Start threading the hand sewing machine with the upper thread. This is the thread that will run from the spool to the eye of the needle. Raise the presser foot by lifting it up using the lever. Twist the handwheel and set it so that the thread take-up lever and the needle are at the very top.
Step 2
Place the spool on the spool pin. Take the end of the thread and pass it through the slit of the upper thread guide towards the upper thread tension dial. If the thread is not passed through the thread guide, it will fall into the tension regulator at the wrong angle, so be careful at this step.
Step 3
Leaning around the bottom of the tension adjuster, pass the thread between the two metal washers. Pull it up and place it on the hook of the thread guide. And then thread the compensation spring into the loop.
Step 4
Pass the thread through the eye of the thread take-up lever and hook it through the hook on the front board. Pass the thread through the two lower thread guides. Insert the thread from the take-up side into the eye of the needle. Pull the thread out twenty centimeters.
Step 5
Wind the thread around the bobbin and insert it into the bobbin case. Place the end of the thread under the tension spring so that there is another ten centimeters left. Place the bobbin case in the hook. Make sure that the lever of the cap fits into the slot provided for it. If it is inserted correctly, you will hear a characteristic click. Close the valve.
Step 6
While holding the end of the thread through the eye of the needle with one hand, turn the handwheel toward you so that the needle drops to the bottom and catches the thread coming out of the bobbin case. Roll the wheel away from you and return the needle to its highest position. Pull the bobbin thread through the hole in the needle plate. Place the ends of the threads under the foot and pull back.
