You don't have to be an experienced needlewoman to knit a dress. It is enough to learn the basic techniques of crocheting and make a few samples of the pattern you like. A beginner knitter is recommended to choose the simplest model of 2-3 cut elements. It is recommended to start the production of the product with two parts in the form of rectangles. In the future, this basis can be arranged as you wish.

Instructions
Step 1
Choose a thin, elastic yarn (such as rayon) to work on a knitted dress. The rectangular hollow panel should fit snugly around the figure and stretch well around the bust and hips. Try a simple pattern out of the working thread. For example, an openwork of triangles based on yarns and air chains is suitable for a dress.
Step 2
Cast on air loops. Their total number must be a multiple of five; make two more pairs of chain links for symmetry of the pattern.
Step 3
Begin the first row of the pattern. Count the sixth chain stitch and knit the first small triangle into it: a double crochet, a pair of air loops and again a single crochet.
Step 4
Do consecutive repetitions: tie one airy thread bow, and skip the four subsequent links of the chain; count out the fifth chain loop and complete the second openwork triangle here.
Step 5
Finish the row following the pattern in step # 4. Finish it by skipping two chain stitches and one double crochet (it is done in the last loop of the initial chain). Now tie a lifting loop and proceed to the second row of lace.
Step 6
Mark the space between the two posts of the row below it - they are in front of the first triangular shape. Make a single crochet here.
Step 7
Knit further the pattern in the following sequence: four single crochet over the triangle, between them - 3 airy thread bows (the hook rod is inserted under the chain of two links). Next, insert a crochet hook between two openwork triangles and complete a single crochet.
Step 8
As described in step # 7, tie a row. At the end - a single crochet and 3 lifting loops.
Step 9
Proceed to the third openwork row. Knit a new triangle and begin the following reps: air loop; triangle. The work ends with a double crochet and an edge air loop.
Step 10
Practice crocheting the lace for the dress, repeating it as in steps 6-9. When you start to get a beautiful even fabric without a single mistake, you can start knitting the dress.
Step 11
Make 2 rectangles the same size. Choose the length of the initial chain according to the girth of the hips, plus a small allowance for freedom of fit and possible shrinkage after washing. Also consider the required number of loops for the selected pattern (see step number 2).
Step 12
Tie one, then the other. The height of each piece is about 5-10 cm above the knees and up to the armhole. The beginning of the knitted product is laid.
Step 13
You just have to sew the panels on the sides to the armholes and arrange the top of the product at your discretion. For beginners, it is recommended to tie the hem in a circle with two rows of single crochets and make the straps of the desired thickness. This will create a beautiful, slightly gathered bodice.
