When crocheting comes to an end, you need to firmly secure the rest of the working thread from the edge of the work. Sometimes you have to fix the thread inside the canvas (for example, if the ball ends at the wrong time or you need to introduce a new color material for decoration). The painstaking process of attaching the threads requires great care from the needlewoman - otherwise the appearance of the homemade outfit will suffer and will look handicraft.

Instructions
Step 1
Tie the thread firmly at the end of knitting. To do this, you need to make one air loop without pulling it too much. After that, cut off the working thread, leaving a "tail" about 7-10 centimeters long.
Step 2
Crochet a loose piece of thread through the crochet stitch and tighten it gently. A neat knot forms at the end of the last row. Try not to tighten the edge of the product too much so that it does not deform.
Step 3
It is recommended to veil the free end of the thread remaining at the end of the work in an inconspicuous place. Hook the ponytail from the face of the thing to the inside of it. After that, carefully thread the thread through the purl of the posts until it is completely inserted into the fabric. Make sure that your manipulations do not affect the quality of the facial pattern.
Step 4
Try to lock the thread to a specific area of the fabric if the knitting guide requires it. For example, this may be necessary for the subsequent strapping of the edge of the finished product. The same method can be used to tie a thread when it becomes necessary to continue working with a new skein of yarn. First, you need to crochet a small loop from the remaining piece of thread.
Step 5
Now sew one yarn over and pull the thread through the loop that is on the hook. Make sure that the remainder of the first working thread is not too short.
Step 6
If you need to continue knitting further, then enter a new thread, make the first column according to the main pattern and continue the row. At the same time, for better fixation of the "tail" of the old thread, it is recommended to weave it into the work, thus knitting a section of about five centimeters in length.
Step 7
Then pull out the rest of the cut thread (not included in the work). Be careful not to pull off the knitted fabric! Cut off the excess part; make sure that it remains on the wrong side of the thing.
Step 8
Connect threads of a different color for multicolor knitting as follows: fasten the thread from the old skein (if it is no longer needed) or set it aside (if it will soon appear in work); make a yarn over with a new thread, and from the same material finish the loop. Then you can continue working on the product according to the multi-colored pattern.
