A fishing headscarf is a type of screen designed mainly for fishing in winter, or rather, for ice fishing. The gusset plate has a triangular shape that tapers upwards. This shape is needed so that the tackle can be easily retrieved from under the ice. There is no float on the headscarf, because the fishing tackle is attached to the line or cord and almost touches the bottom of the reservoir. The cord is wound on a stick or reel and placed across the hole. The kerchief is in working order under the ice.

Instructions
Step 1
In order to weave a scarf, purchase a set of fabrics of the size you need from a fishing store. Select the size of the cells depending on the type of fish you want to catch.
Step 2
Take a reinforcing bar with a diameter of 3 to 5 mm. Spread the netting, mark the cells at the edges of the canvas on both sides with a rope or electrical tape. Leave allowances for two or three cells for fastening.
Step 3
Mark the middle cell along the base of the canvas. Measure up the distance equal to the desired tackle height. The lower middle cell must be under the upper one.
Step 4
Cut the edges of the scarf from the top to the edges on both sides with an angle, while each next row in width should be 2 cells larger than the previous one. The result should be a triangular mesh.
Step 5
On the ends of the reinforcing bar with a chisel, apply 5 - 6 deep notches with a distance of two centimeters. Pass a strong thread along the entire lower edge of the canvas, fasten it on the notches with strong knots, so that there is a slight slack in the net edge (4-7 cm). The thread should not be twisted, but should run parallel to the reinforcement. Divide the length of the lower edge of the netting into 4 equal parts, determine the cells in which you attach the thread to the reinforcing bar.
Step 6
Pass thick fishing line or rope up into the cells on one side of the scarf. Then pass the same rope down the other side. Fasten the rope at the point where the bottom edge is attached on both sides of the reinforcing bar. When weaving the scarf, make sure that the rope runs up and down through each mesh of the netting.
Step 7
Leave up to ten centimeters of rope at the top of the scarf to make a loop for attaching. The desired height can be easily obtained by pulling and stretching the netting at the side veins. Tighten the upper loop of the gusset plate with a regular knot.
