Lips can be drawn in a realistic manner, in the form of a cartoon or stylization. The sketch can be colored or left in black and white. Try to depict a graceful female mouth with a pencil, carefully tracing all the folds of the skin and achieving maximum resemblance to the original.

It is necessary

  • - the pencils;
  • - drawing paper;
  • - eraser;
  • - paper napkin.

Instructions

Step 1

Look at the photos, examine your own face in the mirror. If you want the drawing to be voluminous, you will have to depict the smallest folds, carefully outline the texture of the skin and put the shadows correctly.

Step 2

Start by sketching with a sharpened pencil. In the center of the sheet, draw a slightly wavy line, equal in length to the size of the future mouth. Under the line, use a rounded stroke to mark the outline of the lower lip. The greater the distance between the lines, the fuller the lips will be. But do not make them too voluminous - such a drawing will look like a cartoon, not a realistic image.

Step 3

Above the central line, mark a depression, and below it, the so-called Cupid's tubercle - the most voluminous part of the mouth. The main contours are ready, you can proceed to the detailed drawing of the lips.

Step 4

Connect the outlined strokes with smooth lines. The tips of the lips can be slightly lowered or, conversely, slightly raised. Try both and you will see how the mouth expression changes.

Step 5

Take a soft pencil and draw more clearly the inner line between the closed lips. Carefully paint over the outline, achieving an even light gray shade. Blend the tone with a paper towel. Start applying shadows with light strokes. Shade the area around the corners of the mouth, darken both sides of the Cupid's tubercle.

Step 6

Use the corner of the eraser to mark the light highlights that give the lips the required volume. Place the highlight in the form of an elongated oval in the middle of the lower lip, carefully highlight the middle part of the upper lip. Add shadow under the lower lip.

Step 7

To make the mouth look alive, outline the texture and relief of the skin around it. With light pencil strokes, paint over the areas under the lower and above the upper lip, as well as the space on the outside of the corners of the mouth. Blend the lead with a paper towel. With two vertical strokes of the eraser, highlight the area above the upper lip, creating a hint of a hollow from the nose to the mouth.

Step 8

Under the lower lip, draw a light semicircular line with the convex side up - this is the outline of the chin. Lightly darken the space between the mouth and chin and rub in the strokes. Mark the corners of the mouth with a slightly darker color. The drawing is ready.
