Biography and creative career of Irena Morozova
On September 18, 1938, the future People's Artist of Russia was born in the capital of our Motherland. Since childhood, Irena has shown a special inclination for artistry. During her school years, she did gymnastics, choreography and sang a lot.
After receiving a certificate of secondary education, she first entered the capital's pedagogical institute. But the craving for gypsy folk art took its toll, and a talented girl with a unique appearance graduated from the legendary GITIS in 1972. After graduating from the theatrical high school, Morozova was accepted into the troupe of the Romen Theater, where she still performs, having crossed the half-century mark in work experience.
Irena Morozova's cinematic debut took place in 1968, when she first appeared on the set in the film Living Corpse. And the greatest success was brought to her by the bright and ingeniously played images of gypsies in the Carmelita series. From that moment on, she became recognizable by everyone, she began to be perceived as the most popular ethnic actress in the country.
Irena Morozova tours a lot in Russia and abroad with her extensive repertoire. For an extended period, she has been a member of the jury of the Romansiada competition and is a member of the Chrysanthemum club. And her discography contains several recordings of old gypsy songs and Russian romances.
In the period 2011-2012. the famous artist performed a recital dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Romen Theater on the stages of the Central House of Artists and the Central House of Scientists, which earned herself even greater fame and recognition in our country. And on October 25, 2012, Irena Borisovna on the stage of the KCRA celebrated her half-century anniversary of creative activity with this program, proving to the large army of her fans that her cultural longevity is not at all going to end with a well-deserved rest.
