Levon Vardanyan is a Russian musician, composer, producer, vocalist, guitar virtuoso. He was fluent in karate and all types of edged weapons.
Biography
Early period
Levon Gumedinovich Vardanyan was born in Yerevan on December 12, 1958. The boy was 4 years old when his parents decided to move to Mytishchi. Most of Levon's childhood and youth passed there.
My father was a teacher, so he took education very seriously. I sent my son to a music school, piano. Later, Vardanyan Jr. became interested in playing the guitar. He practically never let go of the instrument. I started writing songs. One of the first compositions was about wandering artists. Over the years, the song became a hit.
Career
In 1976 Levon Vardanyan entered the Kuibyshev IISS. I chose a specialty far from creativity. In 1982 he graduated from an educational institution, became a civil engineer. Levon did not give up making music. He played in amateur groups.
In 1982 he entered the pop department of the Gnessin Music College. In his free time he played in the instrumental ensemble "Muzyka", the group "Six Young", the vocal team "Mari".
In 1984 he went on tour with the ensemble "Hello Song", which was produced by Igor Matvienko.
A few months later, Levon created his own group "Kiosk". It did not last long. Vardanyan has recorded 3 albums in pop style. They were replicated throughout the USSR.
His song "Balloon" sounded on all dance floors. Then the musician realized that he had become famous.
In the same period, clips for the songs "I Will Go to the Village", "Weather Forecast" appeared on Channel One.
Levon was invited to the popular group "Merry Boys". He did not show up for the audition, due to the heavy workload, but he sent the producer a recording of "Wandering Artists". Vardanyan was invited to go on tour to Finland the next day. The artist refused.
In 1987, the vocalist changes his repertoire, moves away from pop music, plunges into rock. It was Levon who shoots the first horror video in the USSR for the song "Brownie". With the support of Vlad Listyev, he appeared in the Vzglyad program. The whole Union saw the "brownie".
Vardanyan creates a new group. Gives her the name "Parade". The tour is going well.
A new magnetic album "Dog's Life" is released. It increases the number of admirers of the musician's talent.
In addition to music, Levon loved sports from his youth. He owned a "black belt" in karate, skillfully handled all types of edged weapons.
In 1989, Vardanyan was injured in training. The artist was paralyzed. It was possible to defeat the disease only after a few years.
He returned to music again. In 1997 he recorded the album "Stung". It was appreciated only by true rock lovers.
In 1999, Levon wrote more than half of the songs on the Hallelujah album for Vyacheslav Medyanik.
There was a lull in the career. The artist wrote a lot of material and created the CHERVI group. A new album has been released, which has become multi-platinum.
The artist left
Until 2015, Levon Vardanyan worked on a new album, but did not manage to release it. The artist died on January 5, 2015. He is buried in the Khovrinsky cemetery of the Moscow region.
